Millefiori - Circles

Since the 15th. Century people creating glass rods, made of different colours to create concentric stars, by layering of a variable number of glass sheets of various colours and casting it in a mould then pulling the soft glass from both ends until reaching the desired thickness. It is then cut into shorter cylinders, then polished to enhance their detailed beauty, end result called Rossette or nowadays murrine or Millefiori which means thousand flowers in Italian language, ( mille = thousand and fiori = flower). Our Millefiori imported from Italy which is the only country manufacture millefiori.
Glass Circles are 10 mm in diameter and 6 mm in height good to mix with Smalti or Opus Romano
